1. Export a Search Console report where every row has both the page and the query/keyword with clicks and impressions.

  2. Required columns: URL / Page, Query/keyword, Clicks, Impressions. Position is used if present. Column names are auto-detected.

  3. Save or export as a CSV or XLSX file.

  4. Upload it below, pick an impression-share threshold, and run the analysis.

  5. Review the results on screen and download the full Excel or CSV report.

Tip: GSC's built-in export splits queries and pages onto separate sheets, which won't work here. To get one row per query and page, pull the data from Data Studio (Search Console connector, with Query + Landing Page dimensions) or the Search Analytics API.

URL Handling

Clean URLs before analysing

Stripping parameters removes noise where the same page appears more than once only because of tracking or filter URLs. Leaving them in can be useful in technical SEO as it may reveal pages that should be canonicalised, or filtered/faceted URLs that are getting indexed when they shouldn't be.

Keyword / Brand Filter

Terms are treated as regular expressions (case-insensitive). Add several to build a list.

How should these terms be applied?

    Impression Share Threshold

How much of the leading page's impressions a URL must hold to count as a competitor

A page is counted as competing on a query only if it has at least 25% of the top-ranking page's impressions for that query. Lower it to catch more borderline cases or raise it to focus on the biggest conflicts.

Rest assured, no data is ever stored. Your file is processed in memory and discarded after your results are generated.

    Cannibalisation Analysis

Cannibalised keywords and the URLs competing for them. Use the column header buttons to sort while keeping each keyword's URLs grouped together.
